Side היא להקת רוק אלטרנטיבי שהוקמה בשנת 2003 בבאר שבע. מתוך סצנת המוזיקה האלטרנטיבית בעיר פיתחה הלהקה סאונד ייחודי המשלב אלמנטים אלקטרוניים עם רוק הרמוני קלאסי, לצד השפעות בולטות של רוק אלטרנטיבי ופרוגרסיבי בריטי.
במרכז ההרכב עומדים הגיטריסט והמפיק יוסי שטרית, הבסיסט, כותב הטקסטים ומנהל ההרכב שי זריהן, המתופף איתמר אבוחצירא והקלידן שחר ימפולסקי. יחד הם יצרו שפה מוזיקלית הנעה בין רוק אווירתי, טקסטורות אלקטרוניות וכתיבה מלודית. Side החלה את דרכה במועדונים בבאר שבע, ובהמשך הרחיבה את פעילותה להופעות ברחבי הארץ ובחו״ל.
לאחר מספר שנים של עבודה ופיתוח החומרים, הוציאה Side בשנת 2007 את אלבום הבכורה שלה, Modern War. האלבום, שהוקלט בין השנים 2003-2007, הציג את השילוב המזוהה עם הלהקה בין רוק אווירתי, טקסטורות אלקטרוניות וכתיבה מלודית.
בשנת 2012 יצא אלבומה השני של הלהקה, Shell Shock, שהמשיך להרחיב את השפה המוזיקלית שלה ולשלב בין רוק אלטרנטיבי, אלקטרוניקה ואווירה קודרת וניסיונית יותר. בשני האלבומים ביססה Side סאונד המשלב את העומק והעוצמה של הרוק הקלאסי עם הפקה אלקטרונית וגישה עכשווית.
עם שורשים עמוקים בנוף המדברי ובתרבות המוזיקה האלטרנטיבית של באר שבע, Side הייתה חלק מהדור של ההרכבים שסייעו לבסס את העיר כמרכז משמעותי למוזיקה אלטרנטיבית בישראל.

Side is an alternative rock band formed in 2003 in Beersheba, Israel. Emerging from the city’s vibrant underground music scene, the band developed a distinctive sound that combines electronic elements with classic harmonic rock, drawing strong influences from British alternative and progressive rock.
At the core of the band are guitarist and producer Yossi Shitrit, bassist, lyricist and band manager Shai Zrihan, drummer Itamar Abuhatsira, and keyboardist Shahar Yampolski. Together, they shaped a sound that moves between atmospheric rock, electronic textures and melodic songwriting. Side began its journey in Beersheba’s clubs before expanding its activity across Israel and performing internationally.
After several years of developing and recording material, Side released its debut album, Modern War, in 2007. Recorded between 2003 and 2007, the album established the band’s distinctive blend of atmospheric rock, electronic textures and melodic songwriting.
In 2012, Side released its second album, Shell Shock, further developing the band’s expansive and experimental approach to alternative rock. Across both albums, Side created a sound that balances the emotional weight of classic rock with electronic production and a distinctly contemporary edge.
With roots firmly planted in Beersheba’s desert landscape and underground music culture, Side became part of the generation of bands that helped establish the city as a significant center for alternative music in Israel.
